For small business or residential situations TrendTek offers a series of small PABX units covering the range from 1-6 lines and up to 12 extensions. The product is characterised by its ability to handle incoming fax calls, ISDN interfaces, alarm inputs and caller ID to the desk top, features not usually found in very small switches. The switch is a true hybrid supporting both key stations and single line telephones

AusVox has been designed to provide everything you need in a compact, reliable modular package, and as a result is perfect if you are running a small business, a subsidiary office

AusVox is a hybrid system, so most single line telephones and other communications equipment that you may be using today, such as modems and fax machines, can easily be connected. Just as important, AusVox will keep pace with the growth of your organisation because it is easily upgradeable from 1 line and 4 extensions up to 3 lines and 8 extensions.

As well as having the kinds of features normally found on much larger systems, AusVox is incredibly logical in its design which makes it simple to use. It is also quick to install and easily programmed to address the needs of both the business and the individual user. Furthermore, proven system reliability ensures low maintenance costs. You can even change system programming remotely.

COST EFFECTIVE CALL HANDLING

We know that controlling costs is paramount in any business and with alternative carrier selection available for up to 4 network providers you can programme AusVox to use the lowest cost network for outgoing calls. Using the advanced call barring functions, which can be individually set for each extension, you have assurance that your call costs can be controlled.

ROUTE INCOMING CALLS TO THE CORRECT EXTENSION

The AusVox basic rate ISDN card supports DDI/MSN numbers, allowing you to route incoming calls direct to the extension required or to a Fax/Modem eliminating the need for a separate line. With DDI/MSN each extention can have a unique directory number.

With the Executive Keyphone you will also receive Calling Line Identification (CLI) which will display the telephone number calling you on the screen, before you answer the phone.

MORE OPTIONS FOR GREATER CONTROL

AusVox has many features unique to a telephone system of this size including:

• ISDN – Using basic rate ISDN with two lines in one you will be able to operate so much more efficiently with
  features such as DDI, MSN, CLI and Advice of Charge if available in your network.
• Automatic Answering – The system can automatically answer incoming calls with a tone, or if the optional
  Fax/Voice Card is fitted, one of two user recorded messages (up to 20 seconds each) on a line specific basis.
• Exchange Line Groups – When there are 2 or 3 exchange lines, extensions can be programmed to
  make outgoing calls on designated lines, for example a fax line.
• Hot Line Programming – When the extension user lifts the handset, a pre-programmed telephone number is dialled without delay, ideal for unmanned Reception Areas or Gatehouses.
• DISA – Direct Inward Station Access will enable callers to ring straight through to an extension. In addition, if the optional Fax/Voice Card is fitted you can customise a greeting which the caller will hear before dialling the required extension.
• Alarm Programming – AusVox has two alarm ports to monitor security access points such as doors and windows around the building. Alarm calls to mobile telephones, to paging units or to friends can be made.
• External Call Forwarding – If you have to leave your office unmanned, this feature will enable you to automatically route incoming calls to an external number or mobile phone.
• Call Logging – Details of the number dialled, which extension was used, call cost and the duration of the call can be printed out automatically.
• Conference Calling – You can initiate a three way conference call between one exchange line and two extensions, two exchange lines and one extension or three extensions.
• ¥ Door Phone – The AusVox Door Phone provides two-way speech link and door latch operation from any extension on the system, simply by dialling a designated code.
• Power Failure Transfer – During a power failure all calls will be handled through on a maximum of 3 pre-assigned extensions. An optional battery module and ringing unit allows up to 8 keysets to work for 2-3 hours.
